This Privacy Policy describes how Notes Genie ("Notes Genie," "we," "us") handles information when you use our iOS app and related services.

Notes Genie is a notes app with built-in AI tools. We collect and process some information to provide sign-in, sync, AI features, subscriptions, security, and support. We do not sell your data to advertisers.

Depending on how you use the app, we may collect:

• Account information, such as your email address or user ID, when you sign in with Apple or Google
• User content you create or store in the app, such as notes and chats, when you use sync or AI features
• Subscription and purchase status related to Notes Genie Premium
• App usage and operational data needed to run the service
• Technical and diagnostic information (such as crash reports and error logs)
• Information you send when you contact support

You can use Notes Genie as a guest without signing in. Some features, such as sync across devices, require sign-in.

When you use AI features in Notes Genie, we may send content you provide to OpenAI, our third-party AI service provider. This can include:

• Prompts and instructions you enter
• Note content and selected note text
• Chat messages
• Formatting instructions and related context needed to complete your request

OpenAI processes this information to generate AI responses and formatting suggestions. We use this AI processing only to provide the AI features you request.

OpenAI may process and retain data according to its own policies and our agreement with them. We do not control all aspects of how OpenAI handles data after it is sent for processing.

AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete. You should review AI-generated content before relying on it.

Please avoid submitting sensitive personal information (such as health, financial, or identity details) that you do not want processed by AI services.

Notes Genie supports guest use and sign-in with Apple or Google. When you sign in, we receive account information needed to identify your account and provide sign-in, sync, and related app functionality.

When you are signed in, Notes Genie stores user content such as notes and chats in cloud systems we manage so the app can sync across your devices, back up your content, and support AI features.

Content you save while signed in is not limited to your device only. It may be stored on our cloud infrastructure.

We use service providers to help operate Notes Genie safely and reliably:

• Firebase — authentication, cloud storage and sync, backend services, and operational usage or security limits
• OpenAI — AI responses and formatting suggestions when you use AI features
• Sentry — crash and error monitoring
• Pocket Admin — operational event monitoring, such as signup or auth events and unusually large AI usage events

These tools help us maintain reliability, investigate issues, and protect the service from abuse.

We share information with service providers that help us run Notes Genie (such as OpenAI, Firebase, Sentry, and Pocket Admin) only as needed to operate the app and provide the features you use.

We do not sell your personal data to advertisers.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the service.

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the app, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies.

When you delete your account, we delete or deactivate associated account data according to our deletion process, subject to limited retention where required for security, legal, or operational reasons.

You can export your data from the app. You can also delete your account and associated data from Profile → Data & Privacy → Delete account.

Notes Genie is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the effective date above.

Continued use of Notes Genie after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy.
